This is 10 Minute Method To Sleep Fast Asleep

Some people often take many hours to be able to sleep soundly. In patients with insomnia, it could be time no longer. Fortunately a study found there is a simple method to reduce the tension and make people sleep. The method used is designed for 10 minutes done before bed. Practice by focusing on a quiet and pleasant as the beach or a lake surrounded by tall trees. After that, take a deep breath slowly."This technique is based on previous research showing that stress can negatively affect sleep. We know there are many risk factors for heart disease such as smoking, diabetes and high cholesterol. However little is understood about stress," says Dr. Arn Eliasson, consultant at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as reported by Health Day.

The research will be presented in the meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians and show that this technique reduces the time needed to fall asleep, improves sleep quality and reduces fatigue. To formulate this method, the researchers recruited 135 men and 199 women with an average age of 56 years. A small percentage of participants suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a severe anxiety disorder that appears after witnessing a traumatic event. The participants were asked to complete a questionnaire consisting of 14 questions to measure the level of stress. Participants were also asked to fill out a survey about the quality of sleep and asked how long it took her, sleep disturbances experienced, use of sleeping pills and how often feel tired during the day.Participants were then asked to attend a program called "Tension Tamer" or tension tamer with workshops for 30 minutes, followed by 4 times during a 30-minute visit with a specialist to practice stress management techniques stress relief. Upon completion of this program, the participants were asked to follow the survey again. The results showed that as many as 65 percent of participants said stress was reduced by 6.6 points. But on the other hand, 34 percent of participants said stress worsening of 4.6 points. In participants who reduced stress, improved sleep quality there, the less time it takes to fall asleep and reduced feelings of fatigue."This is not a new technique. Stress reduction therapy always serve to help people fall asleep. Reducing stress in any way will definitely help, but the most important thing is to learn why people are having trouble sleeping," said Dr. Aparajitha Verma, medical director of the Methodist Hospital Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Program.Verma explains that this technique can indeed help fast asleep soundly, but will not guarantee to obtain good quality sleep. He was advised to relax before going to bed, resolving issues that disrupt and shut down everything that can stimulate awareness or make awake.
